My girl friend and I are planning on taking the Africa's Wildlife tour in August/September 2019. My question is this: what size are the planes used during the actual tours? I tend to get airsick on very small planes (under 20 passengers). Any experiences with the airfare on the tours would be helpful. Thanks.

Hi mgartner, We're delighted that you are planning to join us on Africa's Wildlife next year. The flight from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls is aboard a full-sized plane, as are the planes from Lusaka to Johannesburg and on to Cape Town, if you will be taking the post-tour extension. The two charter flights (round-trip Livingstone / Royal Zambezi Lodge)are definitely aboard smaller planes; however, the size of the plane depends on the size of the group. It could be a 35-seater or a smaller 10-12 seater - unfortunately, there is no way to know ahead of time. We would suggest that you bring motion sickness medication with you, just in case. Should you have further questions, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Service department, toll-free at (888) 370-6765 or by email: customerservice@odysseys-unlimited.com We wish you a wonderful journey to southern Africa.

My husband and I are leaving this Sunday, Aug. 26th (2 more days!) on the Africa Wildlife tour. He also gets motion sickness and has found non-drowsy Dramamine to work for him. Once you decide on some dates I recommend calling Odysseys to find out how many have already signed up for the tour. On our tour there will be 18 and only 6 of us are taking the extension to Cape Town.
