What kinds of carry-one do you slow on the motor coach? Are the small wheeled ones like the airlines permit okay to being onboard the coach?

Yes, a small carry-on with wheels such as you would bring on the plane is fine for the motorcoach (except for Africa tours). As a reminder, we recommend that your carry-on for airline purposes not exceed • 11 lbs and 43” (length plus width plus height). What are the carry-on restrictions for the South Africa tours? We just booked the new Journey Through South Africa tour. This will be our 5th tour with Odysseys and the first time we have heard of a carry-on restriction.

If you are referring to the note above about carry-ons for Africa tours, that was in reference to select safaris. For the Journey through South Africa tour, we pass along what the airlines recommend: that your carry-on should be not exceed 15 lbs and 43 inches (length plus width plus height). I am considering the Treasures of Thailand tour. Are we allowed a carry-on bag (not to exceed 11 lbs and 43") in addition to the one larger bag that you supply luggage handling for? Thanks.

Is the carry-on bag allowed on the internal flights within Thailand? Or is there an extra charge for it?
Also, will I have to "handle" it myself? It's not a problem, I just want to know how it works.
And, is there a weight limit for my checked bag that is different/lower than the limit of 50 lbs that the International airlines allow?

Hi Minna,
Yes, the carry-on is allowed on internal flights in Thailand; and yes, you will have to manage your carry-on yourself. Odysseys' recommends that your luggage not exceed the following:
* Checked luggage: 44 lbs and 62" (length plus width plus height)
* Carry-on luggage: 15 lbs and 43" (length plus width plus height)
