i just signed up for the November 7, 2018 departure of this tour. I’d love to hear from anyone who has taken it. I’ve also signed up as a single so if there is another middle aged woman who is interested, I’d love to hear from you!

Who the guide is always is is perhaps the top consideration. Putting that aside, this was a terrific trip for us (along with a fine guide). Great lodgings, great locations, wonderful exposure to animals (sometimes you need a little luck), flora, geography/geology, and people (cultures). Have a wonderful time.

Has anyone who uses a CPAP machine been on this tour? Odysseys has told me it won’t be an issue (and that I’d even be able to get distilled water throughout), but the luggage restrictions have me concerned because it would be a separate bag to be shoved into the safari vehicle. I’m considering a different tour because of my obsessive worrying.

missoulasue, We just want to reiterate that you'll be fine with the extra bag for your CPAP machine while on tour - there is no need to change tours because of that, if you really want to visit Tanzania!

Thank you! The thing has changed my life, but it’s always an issue of hauling it about.

If you are fortunate enough to get Maulidi as your tour director. tell him Lynne and Bill say hello. I have become facebook friends with Maulidi - the first time I have down that with a tour guide.

There is one day on this tour where we visit a fishing village. Is bringing a gift in order? If so, what is a good suggestion?

Hi missoulasue, No gift is necessary for your visit to the fishing village - just a smile and an open mind! Thank you for checking. We wish you a wonderful adventure in Tanzania.
